This Sunday is the awesome Kerrytown Bookfest. If you love books — reading them, writing them, physically creating them, then the Bookfest is a must-attend event.
Food is the focus this year! And I am especially delighted to be one of the local food bloggers on the "Eating Online: Local Food Bloggers" panel. I'll be keeping company with Maria Bonn (of the Gastronomical 3), Kim Bayer (the Farmer's Marketer), and our moderator Bonnie Bucqueroux. Join us in the Main Tent at 3pm Sunday to talk about food and blogging and blogging about food!
But don't come just for us (well, do, but stay for more!) At this year's Bookfest you can learn how to make an accordion-style recipe book, or discuss mystery books that use food as a major element in their plots, watch vegetable papyrus demonstrations, take a cake walk, and listen to the fabulous Jan Longone talk food with Ari Weinzweig and Jane and Michael Stern.

ConAgra would just laugh at me if I tried to get them to take Pasta Al Dente off of their new Marie Callender's Frozen Entree even though we have the registered trademark. (I have written them a few letters and asked them to give me a call. Still waiting for a response. I feel like Michael Moore). The only thing I can do at this point is use it to try to get some PR for Al Dente Pasta. Turning a negative into a positive.
Please pass on my blog post to all of your people. Make a comment. If you have been confused, you can say it. I won't publish anything negative about ConAgra.
